What to Expect at Your First Meeting
Whether or not you have worked with a financial professional before, setting up that first meeting can be daunting! Here is what you can expect from our firm:
- The first meeting is at no-cost to you, with certain exceptions that you would know about ahead of time. We use that time to listen to the reasons you might be seeking out financial advice or services, and if we are the right fit for you.
- In order to provide you with appropriate guidance, you may be asked to provide the following:
- Non-retirement investment accounts - most recent statement.
- Retirement accounts - most recent statement as well as the available investment options if it is an employer plan.
- Loans - recent statements for any mortgages, auto loans, student loans, or any other liabilities. Unless you are looking for help with your spending (budget planning), we do not need credit card statements.
- Paystub(s) - your two most recent paystubs.
- Benefits Booklet - the handbook that outlines the available benefits and and their costs at your employer (if applicable).
- Insurance coverage - latest annual policy statement / declarations pages.
Items we do NOT want:
- Any password information on any of your accounts.
- Documents or sensitive information through email - we will send you a secure email for you to reply to with your attachments.
- Texts sent to our personal cell phones - these communications are not allowed and not secure. Please ask us for our secure direct message line.
